Some people believe the physical body is only a vessel and that the essence of a person — the soul spirit, or something else — continues to exist in some form. [1]

Cucumber Spooky Time (closely linked to Halloween) according to Tribute Brand, is the perfect time of the year to contemplate the idea of an afterlife.

While the notion of an afterlife might seem incompatible with science, achieving immortality as data (US: /ˈdætə/; UK: /ˈdeɪtə/) is another form of the same idea. The only difference is that instead of God, technology facilitates that ascendance. [1] Data as a tool for achieving immortality is not such a new concept and is associated with Transhumanism, which is a philosophical and intellectual movement that advocates the enhancement of the human condition by developing and making widely available sophisticated technologies that can greatly enhance longevity and cognition.
